Pick the PCH-1000 if you want the OLED screen, the PCH-2000 if you want lighter hardware and micro-USB charging, and the PlayStation TV only if you play on a TV.
The two handhelds run the same library at the same performance, so the choice is about the panel, the body and the ports — not about raw power. The PCH-1000 has an OLED screen, is 18.6 mm thick and weighs 260 g in its Wi-Fi-only form. The PCH-2000 has an LCD screen, is 15 mm thick and weighs 219 g.
Storage differs out of the box. The PCH-1000 has 0 GB of usable built-in storage, so a memory card is effectively mandatory. The PCH-2000 includes 1 GB of internal memory, which is enough for a few small titles but not for a full library.
Charging is the other everyday difference. The PCH-1000 charges through a proprietary Vita connector, while the PCH-2000 charges through a standard micro-USB port. On the used market, a clean PCH-1000 often costs more than an equal PCH-2000 because OLED panels are scarce.
This page compares the two handheld PS Vita models and the TV-based PlayStation TV using known hardware specifications: screen size and resolution, thickness, weight, built-in storage, charging port, wireless features and launch timing. No prices, sellers or personal data are invented. The used-buying checklist is an ordered inspection routine based on the parts most likely to show wear.
